One thing that has a tendency to be annoying as a parent is a lot of noise – after all, being a parent is a lot of work, and it is made that much more taxing when excessive noise is pouring into your eardrums. Of course, as a loving parent, you can usually tolerate this noise if it comes as a result of your children playing games with one another or having a lot of fun in some other way – but when this excessive noise is the result of your children engaging in strife, fighting and arguing with one another, it is no fun at all.

If you frequently deal with the noise of your children having strife, the good news is that it is actually entirely possible for you to keep this from happening any longer; the first step to keeping your children from getting into strife is for you to teach them how to work things out on their own, talking things through instead of arguing about them.

Yelling is one way by which your children will have a tendency to try to solve their problems, but it will also be important for them to understand that yelling accomplishes nothing; one of the best ways to train them to stop yelling is for them to learn that yelling at one another is the same as any other form of disobedience, and they will get in the same sort of trouble for allowing this to happen.

It will also help your children if they realize that two people must participate in order for strife to exist; if one of your children drops an issue, acknowledging that it is really not worth it – allowing their counterpart to “be right” – they will find that life is a whole lot easier, and a whole lot more enjoyable!

One of the toughest parts of keeping your children from getting into strife is the realization that children often mimic the behavior they see from their parents – and if you want your children to stay out of strife, you and your spouse will have to learn to follow and model these tips yourself!
